Once you've confirmed that your SDRSharp audio is reaching DSDPlus and that the input audio level is set properly, you can further troubleshoot DSDPlus if you still hear nothing. It may help to un-click the squelch checkbox in the SDRSharp 'radio' panel so that there will be audio present even when the station is not transmitting. Now start DSDPlus and see if your SDRSharp source audio waveform can be seen.

(When I'm done, I repeat this step and reselect 'Microphone' as my default recording input device for use with other applications.) You definitely know that traditional hardware audio devices (CD/LP player, FM receiver, equalizer tool, amplifier, etc.) may be connected together by electric (analog or digital) cables. In Windows 8.1 I simply make cable OUTPUT my default recording device by right clicking the speaker icon in my system tray, selecting 'recording devices', selecting 'CABLE Output', and clicking 'Set Default'. With Virtual Audio Cable (VAC) free software, you can connect Windows PC audio applications together, routing audio signals between them. Then verify that your virtual cable OUTPUT is set as your DSDPlus input device. Then reselect your virtual cable INPUT as your output device and verify that 'filter audio' is UNchecked. Select your speakers as the output device and verify that you hear the undecoded DMR audio when the station is transmitting and that your Radio panel settings are correct (mode, bandwidth, etc.). After 30 minutes, female voice starts to remind that this is only a trial. Trial version can be used anywhere to evaluate product functionality.
